Dollar Mambo is a fantast. His name is borrowed from Paul Leduc’s same-named film: a movie shot in Panama, that goes without any dialogues and fully relies on the impact of music to tell the story. All its tracks have an authentic southern coloring and are arranged side by side to compose some sort of an audio-sketchboard.
The tracks convey the joy of dancing, surprise with Latin rhythms and capture your attention with their intensity – a veritable tribute to veritable musicians. Lots of sampled instruments are to be heard: lively percussion, trombones, trumpets, guitar and guitarone (Gringo), marimba (Wonderful) and vocals (Soleil).
This EP will enlighten your senses and bring along a feeling of profound happiness. It is predestined for those in search of the particular, of the exquisite.
